About me
Hey there! My name is Lauren, I am graduate from Georgetown University where I majored in international political economy with a minor in film & media studies.
I am originally from Austin, TX. I transferred to Georgetown spring of my sophomore year, after attending Penn State and the UT Austin. I attended business school with the intention on going into developmental finance, until I found the film and media studies program and was gripped by the power of media & entertainment.
In my roles and projects, I aim to use a variety of media modes to touch on subjects surrounding: queer & BIPOC joy, structural injustice within free markets, and non-narrative/abstract storytelling. I deeply enjoy collaborating with other creators to bring these kinds of ideas to life.
I am currently a NBCU Page and based in New York. I am hopeful to explore roles in news & entertainment production to gain more clarity of which industry might be best suited for my interests.
I’m looking for ad hoc projects while I am in NY to improve my skills and keep building my portfolio.
